The Giuseppe Garibaldi historical museum is located inside Palazzo Olginati, Como, right next to the building that houses the archaeological museum.
Together, they make up a museum itinerary. Palazzo Olginati is the place where Giuseppe Garibaldi stayed in 1866.
The museum collects findings from the Napoleonic era, as well as from the Risorgimento (especially related to the Italian Wars of Independence) and the two World Wars.
Visitors will also have the chance to admire some objects that were owned by Giuseppe Garibaldi, the general who freed the city of Como from the Austrians.
