The shores of Lake Como are studded with beaches and resorts, where both locals and tourists relax on hot days.
Here you will find a list of Lake Como’s best beaches, subdivided by area (Como branch, Central area, Lecco branch, Colico branch).
But first of all…
🏊🏼♀️ Can you swim in Lake Como?
In general, with the exception of the Como area, swimming is possible in most of the lake. But be careful, because swimming in Lake Como is not without risk, mainly for two reasons:
- the water temperature is generally lower than that of the sea, and if you dive when it is very hot outside, your body may suffer
- in addition, some areas of the lake have eddies that can make it difficult for you to stay afloat.
Remember to never ignore any safety warnings that may be present, and if you want to swim safely, opt for a lido with a pool.
