SENTEE DE SORT
The Sentee de Sort trail is a wooded, mid-hill path that connects Rovenna (a hamlet of Cernobbio) to Moltrasio, offering incredible views of Lake Como.
This is a fairly easy trail, but one that requires a bit of attention in some places, as there are some exposed sections that are, however, easily overcome thanks to the chains you can hold on to. For this reason it is a trail not recommended for those who suffer from vertigo.
If you are in the Como or Cernobbio area and looking for something different to do, you might consider doing this route and ending with a nice aperitif at one of the bars in Moltrasio.

This easy route starts from Rovenna (in the upper part of Cernobbio) and reaches Moltrasio along the only possible route through the forest.

2. Niasc's stone quarries. Along the way you will come across the Niasc quarries where Moltrasio stone was quarried in the past, much used throughout the area for the construction of flooring, roofs, stairs, tabletops and more.

There are no bars or restaurants along the wooded stretch, but several can be found near the bus stop in Cernobbio, in the small square in Rovenna, and in the historic center of Moltrasio.

🥾 Trail description
From Piazza Mazzini in Cernobbio, Rovenna can be reached in about a quarter of an hour by bus C28 or by a 40-minute walk (which I do not recommend, as it is nothing special).
If you are in Como, be aware that the bus also passes by Piazza Cavour and Villa Olmo. Tickets can be purchased at many tobacconists or newsstands, or directly on the bus for a slight surcharge.
Once you reach the starting point, located near the Rovenna cemetery, all you have to do is continue along the wooded path for about half an hour.
During this route you will enjoy incredible views of Lake Como and the village of Torno located on the opposite shore.
You will also pass through stone quarries that have been used extensively for the construction of floors, roofs, stairs and more throughout the local area.
Coming out of the woods, you meet the first houses of Casarico, a hamlet of Moltrasio. Continuing along a steep but short flight of steps you reach the hamlet of Moltrasio where you can refresh yourself before returning.
Moltrasio is crossed by the state road where you can take the C10 bus to many destinations on the western branch of Lake Como.
